Dosage Guide
Dogs: 2 mg/kg PO once daily for up to 5 days, or 1 mg/kg SC once daily. Cats: 1 mg/kg SC once daily for up to 5 days (extra-label oral use at 2 mg/kg).

Side Effects
- •Mild sedation
- •Drooling (especially in cats with oral administration)
- •Decreased appetite (rare)
- •Pain at injection site (SC administration)
Important Warnings
- !Use with caution in dogs with hepatic dysfunction
- !Safety in pregnant or lactating animals not fully established
- !Do not use in dogs under 8 weeks of age
- !Can mask underlying GI obstruction — always rule out foreign body
Contraindications
Do not use this medication in the following situations:
- ✕Known hypersensitivity to maropitant
- ✕GI obstruction not yet ruled out
